How much does it cost to install or refinish hardwood floors?
Every home is different, so we measure first and give you a detailed written quote with a fixed price — no surprises. Cost depends on square footage, material, subfloor condition and stairs. Estimates are always free, in person or virtual.
How long does a typical project take?
Most sand & refinish projects take 3–5 days including dry time. A typical installation of 500–1,000 sq ft takes 2–4 days. You'll get an exact schedule before we start.
Is sanding going to fill my house with dust?
No. We use dust-containment sanding equipment, seal off work areas and clean up every day — far less dust than traditional sanding.
Can I stay in my home during the project?
Usually yes. For refinishing we plan the work in sections when possible, and we'll tell you exactly when to stay off the floors and when furniture can go back.
Do you move the furniture?
Yes — we can move standard furniture out of the work area and back in afterward. Just let us know about pianos, safes or other specialty items during the estimate.
Should I refinish or replace my floors?
If your hardwood is solid (or thick engineered) and not badly water-damaged, refinishing is usually the smarter investment. We'll inspect it and give you an honest recommendation — even if it means a smaller job for us.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We're fully licensed and insured, and we're happy to send a certificate of insurance before your project starts.
Do you offer a warranty?
Every job includes a 2-year written workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer's warranty on materials.
